About Us

The National Association of County Park and Recreation Officials (NACPRO) is a non-profit professional organization that advances official policies that promote county and regional park, recreation and conservation issues. We provide members with opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and enhance professional development. We accomplish this in an equity-centric manner, ensuring that diversity, inclusion and social justice remain guiding principles

NACPRO is an affiliate of the National Association of Counties (NACo) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). 

NACPRO represents:

• 290 professional and 3 retiree members
• 132 agencies across 35 states
• 29 CAPRA accredited agencies

NACPRO’s greatest strength is the peer network that we facilitate.

The annual NACPRO Awards program honors excellence in parks and recreation at the county and regional level throughout the nation.
